Thoughts and opinions?

If you were offered the same job with comparable pay, would you rather take one in Toronto or Los Angeles? One is across the country and the other in a different country.

RMVette 01-07-2020 2:08pm

IMO the cost of living difference would be the killer for similar pay and I would not move to Toronto. Too cold for me!

The_Dude 01-07-2020 2:08pm

Commie Canada or Commiefornia 6 of one...

Steve_R 01-07-2020 2:09pm

Pay couldn't possibly be enough for me to move to either one.

I could never live there.

No.

I'd stay put where I am. FL may be purple, we may have FloridaMan/Woman, but it ain't a liberal shithole or a cold liberal shithole.

MadInNc 01-07-2020 2:15pm

Somebody is ****ing with ya, aren’t they. If not, ya just can’t win with either.

BOTY 01-07-2020 2:26pm

I wouldn't pick either.

If you are from the east coast and familiar with cold weather, then the one in Toronto would be the best bet ONLY if you got an increase in pay. I would never work in LA.

Stay in Indiana. Neither are viable...:yesnod:

Be specific: how much pay?

If the salary was sufficient, I'd choose LA hands down. However, a typical Toronto salary won't even buy Adog's van in LA. :nono:

bsmith 01-07-2020 6:24pm

If those were my only options, I'd go with Toronto.
I'd be a season ticket holder for the Bills.

The similar pay would be accounting for cost of living.

Living in a cardboard box in LA > living in Toronto

carlton_fritz 01-07-2020 8:54pm

For winter, I was thinking LA. For not having to deal with Commiefornia, Toronto, but then I don't know much about Toronto. From an earlier post I assume it's like California.

One thing I would need to know is where in LA? I do not know where exactly the job is located. Just "LA".

Best Chinese food you will find on this side of the Pacific is in Toronto.

You do realize that none of the "Chinese" food on this side of the Pacific is in any way Chinese, don't you?
