GB told me this is a very cool event.

GB Vette 10-06-2009 7:42am

It is. I'm already signed up for Friday night and the show Saturday :takdir:

Here's the flyer.

I plan on attending every day. Not going to enter the car show Saturday, but will donate. Anyone doing the cruise Sunday?

Dougzilla 10-06-2009 4:47pm

I will be there Friday and Saturday.

Well there goes the chances of any of the rest of us winning anything...

I am going to look into doing the cruise on Sunday, but I have a meeting at work Saturday from 1000 - 1300, and who the heck knows when I will actually be able to get out of there Friday

thegreenman 10-06-2009 9:14pm

I can make Friday, but Sat & Sun I am working 12+ hour shifts. I see registration is done, I hope I can get in Friday. If not I can wonder around and shoot the breeze.

Very true, but there was this one time me an Gary went head to head an 1st/ second place swapped for the first an only time I could ever see.

I guess DTP Racing is going to have a Dyno challenge there as well on Saturday. They have a mobile chassis dyno from Moden Muscle out of Martinsville. I think it costs $80 though.

Maybe you'll get to see someone blow up their junk!:explode:

Ferguson donated some goodies I'll be giving out to participants at the Cruise In Friday Night

If GB says it's a cool event, then it should be a sticky. :cool1:

OK, actually this will probably be a rarity as the the forum grows, as I do not intend to sticky every event that people post about. This one is for a good cause, and it's getting to be the slow season for shows, so ok.

I hate forums with a dozen sticky threads at the top, where you have to scroll down half the page just to see new threads. I'd like to see that not happen here.

What I would like to do for next year, is assemble and post a single sticky thread in each regional forum, containing a simple listing of all upcoming events in that area or state with dates/locations/general info/links, etc....a place for people to look and see what might be happening "next weekend" near them, as well as a place for people to add new event info so it can be continually updated.

In no way discouraging people posting new threads discussing any event, past, present, or future. Keep those posts coming, and by all means post pics after the event. That's what we're all here for.
