We have two. One for just my shit, and another one for the whole family.

Ha! Batt-ries are in a plastic ice cream container in the pantry.

One in each room at least, several in living room.

Wife and I layed out our kitchen about 18 years ago and got rid of the stoopid arkytech crap about the house, and so it's a simple open kitchen to eating/dining if formal area into the carpet area......house is 1700 feet and 1/4 acre and in our age group we don't need more....really, practical.....

so we took a tape to the area, and I built the cabinets and tops and totally opened up the area to something modern.......kitchen is no longer a closet.....

our kitchen, which i designed and built, only has 44 drawers, and just 1 "junk" drawer. pencils, pens, note pad, flashlight, screwdriver, pliers and some other miscellaneous stuff.

We have general stuff junk drawers, sewing junk, beadery junk, tool junk, gun junk, plastic utensil/screw top/napkin.... well you get the idea.

I know of two. I'm sure the wife has, at least, one for her artist stuff.

Pretty much the same here. I'll add batteries, measuring tape, those clips you use to close a bag of chips, plastic wire ties from bread, matches/lighters, decks of cards, scotch tape.

I have two junk draws and piles of crap on all my garage shelves! Beat that!
