Time with the Grandkids

A couple days off from work and I'm already bored. :Jeff '79:

We get our kids/their wives and grandchild decent Christmas's gifts. Years back the wife and I stopped giving gifts to each other, we both are the kind of people if we want something we just get it. it was getting to the point we just exchanged gift cards!:)

Our 10 YO 70'' TV was starting to act up so we decided to upgrade with a 85'' Its going to be delivered and set up on Tuesday. I guess you could sort of consider that a present!:D

A grandson.

Car needs brake work so I'm getting a kick in the nuts. At least I got an unexpected bonus from work that will cover it.

Kids, grandkids, and granddogs all visiting! We don't open gifts until Christmas morning. Everyone knows that Santa comes tonight!

Relaxing time off for her, I get to relax every day of the year. We stopped the gift giving a few years ago, the kids get stuff but we buy what we want during the year.

The whole gift thing is so played out. My place will be stuffed with folks, none of whom are under 16, all gorging on gifts. The greed and gluttony makes me puke. Maybe because as a kid we each got one half way decent inexpensive gift. I can afford whatever I want during the year and suck at picking out stuff for the wife (thankfully the kids handle) so I just sit back and watch folks gorge at the trough ‘o plenty. I would like to go to Hawaii or Tahiti for the Christmas. I’ve already started doing the Caribbean for Easter.
