I can't explain how angry this makes me

Someone should have procured a rope and strung the driver of the truck up from the nearest tree. I can't even fathom how this could happen. As a biker, I am infuriated.:sadangel:

Thanks for the link. We did not know this happened.

I run the " back roads" to work, between NH and Maine, every day.

ZipZap 06-22-2019 8:45am

Can't tell what even happened from the link. Is there any more info?

snide 06-22-2019 9:19am

That is horrible. :sadangel::sadangel::sadangel::sadangel::sadangel::sadangel::sadangel::sadangel:

New Hampshire is full of two-lane roads, each with incredible scenery. Such a shame that these bikers got taken out while enjoying the fresh clean air and great scenery.

I'm a biker too, and this truly sucks :sadangel: They are still saying the cause is unknown, so I'm withholding judgement on the truck driver til there is more info. If it does turn out to be his fault, I'm right there with you :issues:

Broken Wind 06-22-2019 2:19pm

The guy driving the truck had to have crossed over into their lane. Same thing happened here almost in front of my house. We heard it, but didn’t see it. Seven bikes taken out. No one died, but one gal lost her leg.

I read a second ago that the MA bike group had ties to the Marines. So did the group here that it happened to.

I would image the police are waiting on toxicology reports before any other info is released.

Seems likely, but not necessarily true. I once encountered a group of bikers, & one of the assholes decided to pass the others to move to the front, & crossed a bit into my lane to do so. Nothing dramatic, but I had to move to the right quickly to avoid him. So who knows.

It would be helpful if they find that one or more of the bikers had a camera running.

Very large and heavy trailer for a 250. A blowout on the truck or trailer could do some bad things.

:sadangel::sadangel::sadangel: for the bikers.
And yes this state is full of two lanes and some are scary especially at night RT.125 between Rochester and the Lee traffic circle always has me favoring the breakdown lane as people tend to cross or hug the centerline more then my liking.

I used to love traveling 125 on the bike, but traffic has gotten ridiculous in the past 10 or so years. Plus, they really messed up the circle. I hate what they have done with the Lee traffic circle. I have had numerous near misses there now since it's been "improved", and have seen a number of accidents. For some reason, people feel they don't need to yield going into anymore, it's crazy :sadangel:

We'll have to wait for the police report. Plenty of possibilities on blame. It's entirely possible "both sides of the road" are at fault.

Regardless of who is at fault, it's a terrible tragedy. Two of the seven were husband and wife.

I ride myself, I try to keep "situation awareness" at all times but sometimes things get beyond your control :sadangel:

7 Counts of negligent homicide. Too badi NH doesn't have the death penalty. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Oh, and this douchebag is getting some drug charges too, as the cops found narcotics in his residence.

He should have been arrested at the scene and drug tested.
