Name some gritty movies somewhat off the mainstream

I'm always looking for new gritty movies worth watching multiple times. Just want a good story, good acting and very little touchy feely stuff. Can you please recommend a movie?

Here are some of the movies I've watched lately which I would call gritty:

What Doesn't Kill You (2008)
Out Of The Furnace (2013)
City Of Industry (1997)
The Friends Of Eddie Coyle (1973)
Killing Them Softly (2012)
Before The Devil Knows You're Dead (2007)

Worth it. I've watched it no less than 6-7 times. Definitely a B-movie, but a fun watch. :cert:

Whole lot of grit in this movie too, but tits and bush don't hurt either. :cert:

Don't know many movies.

Watched Enemy of the State with my kid way back when and remember liking that.

He also had Ghost Dog on DVD. A mob/murder/hitman sort thing. Thought that was pretty good.

Enemy of the State is exceptional. Just be careful not to get slapped in the face while watching it. :leaving:

If you don’t have the Pluto app, get it. They have a huge selection of movies and most are B style gritty movies.
