Anyone here into watches?

I am still hooked on real watches vs Apple jack shit….

I’m a lefty so this new piece has me excited!

I also prefer a “real watch”
I have about a half dozen or so. Mix of quartz, mechanical but most are under $300 except this one which is my favorite

I have a few more, but here are the “good” ones.

I prefer 'real' watches also, and have a number of automatics, including a 1986 GMT I Pepsi model. It's quite surprising how collectable some of those older models have become.

I think the Omega Seamaster GMT 50th Anniversary is one of my favorites, however.

2001 Model Year Rolex 2-tone black faced Submariner
2021 Model Year Seiko Presage mechanical, stainless with green face.

Now having two mechanical watches, I had to finally buy a winder. Love both. Wear the Rolex for more formal things now, and the Seiko all of the time. Again, they are about 5X difference in price. The service associated with the Rolex can accumulate, so using the Seiko as my "beat around" watch makes much more sense than when I just had the Rolex.

I have two mechanical watches,,

A Breitling Titanium Avenger - love the look and the light weight.

A Tag Formula 1 (Calibre 16 movement and the band has black ceramic inlays)

Nope, not a Batman......The WIS gang, is trying to give this piece a new nickname. The Riddler, Desto, Joker, ect......

I'd really be after one if the bezel was all black, I'm not a huge fan of the green...

Nice watch. My wife bought me the Promaster Nighthawk chrono last year.

Very impressed with the design and quality, especially given its pricepoint.

Prior to my last Citizen purchase I bought two Armani Emporio watches. I really like them... but their styles are all over the place - or I'd own more of them.

I am through with "winders"; now quartz only. I don't wear the same watch enough for the automatic winder to be of any use; and refuse to get one of those ghey auto watch winder thingies.

I only have one automatic left, it's a Bernoulli (Chinese); I absolutely love it... but don't wear it (don't want to reset everything - time, day, date, moonphase). Genuine lizard skin band.

bought this one about two months ago:

but sent it back after a couple of days. Sadly the case was just too wide (52mm); looked awkward on my wrist.

The prices of the watches I have now are off the hook.

Same here! I started collecting at the exact right time! Grabbed three Rolex at an AD, msrp before they took off. The Daytona has gone ballistic!

Time to sell? lol

RonC5 04-01-2022 10:38am

My everyday watch is a Tag Aquaracer with the silver face, the getting dressed up watch is a Rolex Datejust with the silver Tapestry face. I also have several Eco-drives for when I do home/car projects.
