Just started the lighting at my house last night. I can’t put out the bigger stuff until the night before because we get some pretty strong Santa Ana winds in October.

I’ll start on some more pumpkins tonight. Picked up three more carveable foam pumpkins to add to the collection. (If I’m spending all that time carving, they better be reusable!!) 🎃👻💀

:iagree: Because of the food brokerage we have a membership at the restaurant supply store and they have full sized Snickers, Twixt, etc for a great price.

We usually get ~250 kids in our development. They come here from 3 towns away because it's a safe, enclosed development with one way in and out and the offerings are usually pretty good. :lol:

We've toned down the scary stuff due to being so many kids. Now it's just pumpkins, big spiders, the fog machine etc.

It’s depressing, actually. They no longer open the gates to non-residents (without a visitors pass from a resident) for the trick or treaters. So, if you don’t know someone that lives in the community, you can’t trick or treat here. Not as many kids. :nonod:

Some jerk complained, I’m sure. Instead of just leaving their porch lights off for one day a year, they had to ruin it for everyone. :mad:

That sucks hard. Last year, we gave out around 280 bags of candy. Our town postponed Halloween to tonight, so we'll see how many bags we hand out. We prepared 300.
