My wife's sister has been diagnosed with an inoperable terminal brain tumor. Probably less than a year to live. The scary thing is she's the youngest sister in the family. Only 54 years old.

Just one year ago, she became a grandmother for the first time to two beautiful twins.

She can no longer work, and she was a career RN. Emotionally and financially devastating for her family.

You all know I am an Atheist, but she is a Christian, so I don't mind asking for your prayers.

I will keep your SIL in my prayers. She deserves a miracle, having been a RN. :angel::angel:

Sad to hear. My cousin's husband was diagnosed with glioblastoma right before Christmas. It's not good. He is only 44, and I doubt seriously he makes it to 46, and they have young children. It stinks.....:sadangel:

It's funny in a way. Human kind has figured out a million ways to kill other humans (A- bomb) etc. but we can't seem to spend the time and money needed to get rid of cancer. WTF you know......:sadangel:

Something like this has a ripple effect on the whole extended family. It's really affecting my wife and I.

We have long planned to downsize our living situation and spend more time and money on travelling and less on our house. When this hit us a few weeks ago, we decided to accelerate our plans. We put our house on the market today. Time for some more adventure in our retirement. Maybe in our future travels we will be able to meet some of you folks.:yesnod:

I have thought of the same things. No waiting until 67 to retire. I could actually do it today if I wanted. It's hearing this from friends about things like this that make me want to pull the trigger and just do it.
