Chinese Consulate in Houston
People are burning documents at the Chinese Consulate in Houston, as Beijing says the US abruptly gave it 72 hours to shut it down.
I guess there is more to this story. We already know that they steal intellectual property, so it must have been very serious for the US government to shut them down. Get ready for tit-for-tat. Quote:

It was all over the news here. They apparently got a couple of dumpsters and had a burn party in the courtyard of their compound. HFD was called, police showed up, too, but as the consulate is sovereign Chinese property, all they could do was stand around.
Seems like it would have been easier to just get the FBI to destroy the documents, smash the equipment with hammers, and Bleach Bit whatever else needed to be destroyed. The FBI is probably a lot more experienced in evidence destruction than random Chinese spies and honest Chinese consulate employees actually doing their jobs. |

remember, before you burn it, make a copy of it. :slap:

U-Haul trucks are at the compound and have been going all day, apparently.
"Pack your shit and GTFO, you ****in' commie bastards!" |
I知 sure the Chinese have been buying up port docks etc to fulfill their own distribution plans. I know for sure they have been buying Texans farms
