[Android] Where are text messages stored?
On the Android file system, where are the text messages stored? Just got a new phone, and the transfer software doesn't seem to be working. So, where are the text messages stored? Would like to copy them manually, if necessary.
 |
Android apps like to store things in databases. Your best bet is to export your saved texts from your old phone using the old app and then copying the export file off via USB.

He's correct the txts are stored in databases. There are apps to backup txt and import I believe.

Any clue as to what those apps might be? 3rd party or the actual messaging app? :bigears:
The migration tool provided with the new phone (OnePlus 7T Pro) does not appear to be working. :banghead: I've copied over music files from my laptop to the phone without issue. I suppose I could copy over the photos too, but I don't think I need them on the new phone. |
Looks like the transfer app is working... Need to send over small batches, I guess.

OnePlus 7T Pro is the new phone. LG V20 is the old phone. |
