Which route would you take?
Travel end of this month. Some swear by the S route, others say you should take the N. What say you OT??? :popcorns: Attachment 25063 |
Depends on what you want to see :seasix:

I have never taken the south route. The northbound sucks.. That I 40 corridor around MEM is horrible

Whatever route you take stay away from Chattanooga, we don't need no Okies round here.
:D |
More details.
Want fastest route. Transporting medically unstable elderly, 2 kitties and a dog. Will be stopping every 2 hours to prevent blood clots in grandma. Hope to get half way or better first day. Of course finding pet friendly hotel presents a challenge as well. |

I haven't driven all legs of that trip but I would take the South route based on proximity to big cities and shorter distance.
On the other hand, if you're carrying an elderly passenger and/or an older vehicle, you may want to stick near civilization in case either "breaks down". The portions I've driven of that South route (Hot Rod power tours) are really pretty areas. We'll be headed to Folly Beach (near Charleston, SC) for the weekend. We rented a big beach house for the family. Safe travels! :cert: Scott |

Modified version of the north route...Skips Atlanta and should knock at least an hour off the trip time.

You need to spend time in L.A. (Lower Alabama) on your trip, so I'd say go south, young lady.

I would avoid Atlanta and Memphis at all costs.
