TMT Has a question

Have any of you degenerates changed a shift boot on a 6-speed? I'm replacing the shift console and shift knob and figure I'll change the boot at the same time. Anything difficult about it? The boot is the only thing I can't find online instructions.

Thanks ..............................

No I haven't. Hope this helped :D

Actually, I replaced a shift boot on my Honest Charlie floor shift kit
on one of my old 53 Stude coupes back in the 60's....
I'd be glad to give a few pointers on phillip screw use.

It can't be as difficult as replacing floor mats.....

Like Duke says, I hope this helps....

Well, TMT- after you've changed it, post up instructions on how ya did it. 'Cause I'm thinking I need to replace mine with a red and black version....

No, but if you do, there are great meds to get rid of it

I didn't say I'd FOLLOW the instructions you wrote. :slap: I just figured an old guy like you needed something to keep your mind occupied.

You were going to write a how-to on installing floor mats.

C4fan 04-15-2015 8:33pm

Subscribed, you can't have too many good quality "how to" threads.:seasix:

DukeAllen 04-15-2015 10:46pm

My Mid-America catalog came in the mail today. Specials on floor mats

SQUIRMIN VERMIN 84 04-16-2015 3:05am

Apparently mat installation is a serious challenge for some folks. Positively
baffling for a few. The big question is which side goes up. There is a higher
institution of learning for success in this field. No, it's not M.I.T, its
M.A.T.- 'Mats Are Teached' and it should probably be the answer for particular
forum member(s) here.....

Do they come with installation instructions? If not, maybe there is a help site to download the PDF instructions?
