I forget..is the M5 a rangefinder or an SLR?
What BW film were you using? |

Takes me back...35 years ago. I was doing a lot of photograpy with an old Nikormat my dad gave me. We had a darkroom set up in the basement to do B&W. I can still remember the smell of the developer, fixer, etc in the trays. I actually have some prints I made hanging on walls in our house.
I congratulate you on keeping a great tradition alive. Leicas are a work of art themselves and to stay with film vs digital is really cool. I loved your pics. Keep it up! |
F'kn Aye!
Nice pics! The B & W was a good choice and it almost makes them seem vintage. Did you get some more color photos? Thanks for posting! |
Thanks Pewter, I am glad you liked them. For some reason I absolutely love film and film cameras. My sister and friends like to harass me for sticking with film but I can't see myself switching any time soon. Having too much fun with developing and playing with enlargers to switch. The Leica's are a joy to use. Took me almost two years to work and trade my way up to that one but it was well worth it.

Great camera...I have owned several Leica cameras over the years, both SLR and rangefinders...I have moved over to digital Canon Mark III and IVs...but still have a Leica R4S body...
HP5 is old school as well, remember developing film in my home darkroom with my Pops...great days of the past... Thanks for the memories and great shots! |
Foley What do you think of the R4S? Always thought it would be interesting to try one but never met anyone who had used the Leica SLRs.
