The entrepreneurial engineering dood who rented the fleet of equipment from Taylor Rental to build his own seawall.

A seawall and roof trusses are two things no man should attempt on his own with no prior experience, well that and your own nuclear reactor.

Still working on the gasser, but one has nothing to do with the other...:slap: The boat dock isnt a "project". It's an item I purchase and have someone else install and do all the work...:yesnod:

I would install a traditional cradle lift. Especially in salt water.

Project =Project as to $=$......

I can't seem to find enough time to finish up the pick up truck (plus the cold weather doesn't help)......

Got in one day last weekend, possibly, if I'm lucky the motor just might go in this weekend!

I will give you a little advice. Doing anything on coastal tidal flowing waterways technically requires a CAFRA permit. This includes dredging, replacing a bulkhead, adding a lift.
I don't know about enforcement where you are ,but in NJ its a big deal. I have been fighting this for 8 years now and have spent well into six figures in legal fees for a bulkhead installation behind my home.

In NJ they have aerial photos from long ago. They match them up to current photos and if there is a difference with no permit, the lien your home. In our case, the builder did so prior to my ownership. The title company failed to catch the lien and we got stuck with it. there is ongoing legal action with the title company as well as NJ DEP.

Before you brush this off, make sure you check, or you have really deep pockets to fight the fight. good luck.
