My best friend passed yesterday.
 

Even though I knew several days ago that my buddy Rick was probably not going to make it, it still hasn't sunk in that he is gone. He passed peacefully yesterday surrounded by friends and family after the life support was removed. My youngest son took this picture of him at my place on Lake Sinclair Ga, after he landed that whopper of a bass!! Rest in peace buddy, I'll meet ya back at the fishin' hole!:sadangel:

I don't really have a best friend but I can imagine what it must feel like losing a pal that is a big part of your life.

Thanks Scott. I'm pretty busted up about it. He and I had a lot of good times together, and he was dearly loved by my family. Like one of my other neighbor's said, he probably had the biggest heart of anyone I've ever known. The world is a lesser place without him.
