I cried like a baby.... RIP my Mutley buddy.

As mentioned before, Mutley's time with us was short. We had to lay him to rest on Saturday afternoon after roughly 15-16 years on this earth and 12 or so with my family. That dog hit the lottery big time when he was adopted.

On the plus side, we did have a prayer answered just in time. Dad and I decided if he didn't go on his own that we were going to have to put him down that afternoon, but didn't want to do that. We got home from an auction that afternoon and he was lying there on the living room floor. The other dogs were sitting around him.

We both came up, scratched his ears and told him it was o.k. and that we'd see him later. He took his last breath peacefully in dad's arms surrounded by his family and his pack.

Fred, our mini dachshund has been sleeping in Mutley's favorite spot since then, but knows he's gone. All three dogs came out to say their last good-bye's before we put him in the ground and covered him.

At least he's at peace now and not suffering. Well, RIP, buddy. See ya later.

Taken two weeks ago on his last walk in the woods that he was able to do:

He's better now and I know he's laying in the grass some where belly up and warming his balls under the sun now that he has them back :yesnod:

He hit the lottery when we adopted him. Don't really know how old he was but we think somewhere about 15 y/o... at least 15 for sure. Mutley had a good spoiled life.
