and how do I get some?

You can give or take reps to/from other users by clicking on the 2nd icon in the bottom of the user ID panel on each post. Here's how they are setup.

What reputation level shall new users receive upon registration? 5

How many reputation points does an administrator give or take away with each click? 5

For every 1 day of active membership, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

For every 5 posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

For every 10 points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

How many posts must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? 5

How much reputation must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? 10

How many reputation clicks can a user give over each 24 hour period? 10

How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again? 10

What about those of us who already have a bad rep? :rolllaughing:

Yes...The fundamental principle most people don't understand, is that you don't lose your Rep points by giving it...you gain it 2X over.

Its not even as complicated as investing, since you invest nothing by giving Rep...you are only gaining.

I think it only works if you give rep back. For example, I just gifted you with my killer rep power :). But I only get some back if you hit me back. It's not automatic, since I have given out rep to some people that haven't returned any.
