For a mere 1.2 million you can have this 6,100 sq ft gem in the Northern California gold country. It belongs to a relative of mine.

In monkey co. Faryland, Bethesda, near Wash DC....the town I got older in for 53 years, that house is known as a McMansion....they tearing down every house on 1/4 acre and building houses like that in place.....some of them even get to the point of leaving ONE outside wall of the OEM building, and building on to it, and calling it a 'renovation'......

some friends had a house near there and sold it for 900 grand, theirs was just legit remodeled, not by any stretch rebuilt, so it was small....with a concrete back yard and a go to hell garage.....as large as the one I left behind.....but my house sold 21.5 years ago for nothing....course I was up the road about 6 miles or so....

the difference in house price between tony Chevy Chase Md....and funky old Assbone hill area of Rockville is ASStounding....

my house today would being about 600 grand.....in spite of the garage....

This one was built in '05. It sits on 2,500 acres of mostly unbuildable land. The owner of this house doesn't just have a view, he owns the view.

My brother in laws taxes are about ten grand lower than that. On a valuation pushing $3mil. (Issaquah, Wa).
