Our 2 dachshunds, Vinny & Gus, like to take over the "high ground" when my Bride gets settled in the chair for the evening. Vinny, the blond one, will lay NEXT to me if my Bride isn't home and Gus won't come near me. They are "rescues" and we believe Gus had a bad history with men before.

That's awesome, Jim. Our Dachs will go to high ground sometimes, but moslty if we have the chairs or couches reclined. They do love a fresh load of laundry to burrow under, too. :funny:

They get plenty of snacks. Beef soup bones and bacon (or the bacon grease mixed with their food) are their favorites.
