Chopping and Stirring

over time, i've made some stuff for our kitchen as well as for others (MEC5lady has some spoons and spatulas).

a sample:

cutting boards:

some Ulu knives with holders:

and some spoons and spatulas and matching container:

you don't need to be constrained to what you can find at Pottery Barn, you can make something unique and useful with a few tools.

Hypothectially speaking, what if someone was interested in a spoon/spatchula set with container?

they would have to wait until spring, when i get my new shop up and running, and they would have a choice of maple or walnut (or a mix), spec out how many of each they wanted (spatula, spoon, one sided spoon/spatula [round on one side, flat on other side - sorry, don't have a pix handy of that], fork, slotted/drilled spoon). probably run about 7-10 bucks per item, another 20-25 for the holder (square/hexagon...). plus the cost of shipping it.

i made a cool hexagon holder of walnut and maple, but i can't find the pic....damnit....

also made a pastry board for a neighbor, has woodburned markings for common sizes used in rolling out pastry, hook/lip keeps it from moving around when placed over front of counter, one side marked, other side plain. made of maple.

Whenever you're up and running, let me know, I want all of that.

100-125. Again, same time restraints.

Plus shipping. That one is 18 x 24 overall.

That one has a special 11" x 17" box, lady asked for it.

Can do any combo of circles / squares / rectangles, just need to know ahead of time. All woodburning done by hand.

You're the first one I thought of when I saw that. :D

Awesome. I need to let the expenses of Christmas settle down - give me a month or so and I'll be in touch.

At first I thought this thread was going to be about Facade, BingoFuel and Liz.

Those pieces are beautiful, DAB. You certainly have a lot of talent.

Awesome stuff. I'm going to want one of the pastry boards whenever you are operational too.

once i get my shop set up and operational (have to convert a 40x60 metal, uninsulated, unheated metal horse barn [8 stalls] into a woodshop with proper power and lighting), i'll try to remember to post a note that i'm up and running. probably around April/May is my current guess. in a pinch, i could turn out some spoons (requires bandsaw and spindle sander mostly), but i'd rather not try to work in a tight space and get injured.

thanks for the kind compliments.

I use my spoons and spatulas most every day and love them.
