Sanding clear top
I am debating tackling my clear top again. :willy: I have been through hell and back with this top last year, sanding, smoothing, rattle can clear then repeat 4 or 5 times and still not being happy with the results. I sanded 1/4 of the clear off last year before officially giving up and moving it to the corner of the garage for a rainy day.
I am wondering if it is 'ok' to use the PC with a sanding disc to get through the clear. I know I will have to follow up with a block and wetsand 800-1500 to knock out any surface scratches before having my painter spray clear. |
Sean, hit that thing with some Zip Strip. Scrape off the clear, and start fresh.

Contact Lutzdog. He did my old Red cars top last summer. It looks awesome...

I picked up some ZipStrip and tried it out on my fuel rail covers last month and that stuff is great! When I'm home long enough, I'll get around to working on the top again. It's on my list of things to do this summer.

Everybody bring their things they want stripped to Kevins house, and we'll paint his driveway with the residue.
:D |
 Sounds like a plan!
