Snowing here. Already over 1" on the ground. Small flakes, but lots of them.

morning all.

just did my combo walk and good deed. picked up 6 buckets of trash along the nearby main road. it was getting a little messy. much more better now. had to ask Mrs. DAB to come and get me and the trash, too heavy to carry the 3/5 mile home.

no one else had done it in a while, so i have time and needed skills (reach down, pick up, put in trash...phew, that's 3 steps).

broken window theory, if it's trashy, it invites more trash, so get rid of the trash.

Speaking of whine, my neighbor bought a diamond drill bit about 3/8 diameter, and with my drill press we drill empty wine bottles down lo on the backside.....and we take a 2 buck extension cord, cut the end off, and run the wire through the hole and out the top of the bottle, I split and bare the ends, we cut the plug off some white Xmas tree lengths splice the wires, put on small wire nutz, and so to feed the lights down the bottle neck, and no matter the type of bottle, they light up nice for all sorts of stuffs....

some of the best are the painted bottles, or ones with somewhat translucent labels, and various colors of glass make for interesting.....

never done it with color lights yet, but I bet it would be even neater.....

~18 light strands are for most wine bottles, but he has put much larger/longer strands in larger ones....36? bulbs....

obviously the top has to remain open to let heat escape.....
