Got the Vette out today...........
 
Well, despite temps in the lower teens, the sky was blue and the roads were clear so I took the C5 out today to go work on the C3. Overall, a great experience but I did learn one thing about the C5. If it's cold enough outside, it rattles and creaks just like a C4 in June........................

Oh yea, the Goodyear F1 EMT run flats are like having 4 rocks for tires when it's cold. The car was all over the place until they got heated up, not a pleasurable experience. I gotta get rid of those things this Spring.

Thats funny because my C4 only has one noise in the winter and it is a "buzz" from the passenger door for the first 2 min of driving! Had my vette out today even though there is salt on the ground!!! Still clean though because I missed all the puddles. I was heating up the tires on the backroads and some lady in a toyota stopped in her tracks like 100ft away :lolsmile:

roads were pretty crappy, and it snowed again last night so I'm sure they are sooo much better now :cheers:

A little off of your original topic... but when that time comes DO NOT GO CHEAP.

I have had 4 different kinds on the C5 over the years and it reacts to different tires more than any car I have ever seen. If you can foot the bill for some PS2s, get them and don't look back.

May I suggest Dutch Harbor, seems pretty nice there, or if that's too far, you

:iagree: I was in weather like the pidtures in post #6 around north Lake Tahoe a few years back, and the PS2's were outstanding. They really gripped the road. :D
