Amazon listening to conversations via Alexa

Yet another reason I refuse to have one. They're already spying on much of our lives for a variety of troubling reasons.

I don't have anything electronic in my house that I can talk to aside from my actual phone. I will never own one of these voluntary intruders. No good can come from it. I'll turn on my lights the old fashioned way.

Shit I have one in every room of my house except the bathrooms. Could care less if they are listening. Your cell phone is more of a spy than Alexa is.

I'm lazy, but not that lazy as to talk into a device to turn something on or buy something, too set in my ways, which at this time, are not difficult at all.

No longer true. Our Alexa can distinguish between my wife's voice and my own and addresses us or behaves accordingly. Example, if my wife asks Alexa to play some music it plays a completely different genre of music than when I ask it to do the same based on our previous choices. If I ask Alexa "What's New?" it plays through a different set of news feeds than what my wife receives when she asks the same question. It replies back using our first names too.
