The CT5V BW is an awesome car. LT4, proper damn manual transmission, sounds great. The c8 and escalade boat anchor shitboxes are the antithesis to the 911 S/T.

It really needs about 4 or 5 more openings in the front somewhere.

The Escalade has no competition, it has always stood alone.
The Escalade V has 682 HP, does 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, 1/4 in 12.7.
Not world-shaking, but not bad for 3+ ton grocery getter, with more room than anything else.

If you are spending up to $200K based on ADMs, you probably have a few dollars to make it look however you desire.

Or maybe just don't buy something hideous to begin with? I dunno.

No accounting for taste, AND sometimes hideous can be fine.

I will probably never buy an SUV for myself in this lifetime, so I am just stirring the pot in this thread.

The Lincoln Navigator and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer are direct competitors to the Escalade. Although I'm not sure they have the shit-my-Depends poser tune that the Escalade V has. I do agree that the Escalade has no business being in the performance/enthusiast SUV market that is shared between basically the entire rest of the SUV world:
the Porsche Cayenne, Lambo Urus, Ferrari Purosangue, Range Rover, Audi RSQ, BMW M5, Mercedes GL, Durango Hellcat, Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, etc.

Disagree. That entire platform has awful proportions, in Chevy/GMC or Cadillac flavors. I don't see anything attractive about any of them.

I like it. I have no interest in one but it is a very nice piece IMO.

Porsche fit, finish, engineering, reliability, and performance outshine GM 10 fold.
Now, GM has some talent, its the bean couthers that screw it up every time.

I agree! Oh and I'd take the Navigator over the Escalade. They are freaking nice! And I love the interior isn't just black like most everything else.
