Recently got a Colt Woodsman Match Target, first series, and took it out for a spin. Got the sights dialed in, 10 shots at 25 yards, on a B-8 repair center (correct target for that distance).

Used a rest, this would score 100-6x. That will win matches, if I could hold it that well.

Strength? Take a 1" dowel and drill a hole thru it. Thread a piece of rope to a weight. Hold in front of you at shoulder height. Twist the weight up and twist it back down. That will increase both hand (grip ) strength and increase forearm muscles.

I mostly shoot action pistol, IDPA. The aiming area is a 8” circle. Pretty easy to hit with two hands on the gun. Hitting the 10 ring with one hand at 25 yards is harder. Practice....lots of practice.

Oh, Bullseye :D

I earned Expert ( now called Master ) and was literally 2 points too low for Distinguished Expert ( now High Master). I was averaging 273 and needed 275 :banghead:

I used a Browning Buckmark in silhouette configuration (minus the forearm ) with a Tasco red dot. Trigger is set at NRA minimum, 32 ounce trigger pull

I doubt I’ll get into Bullseye shooting enough to worry about scores. No organized competitions locally.

My Fusion 1911 came with a 3lb trigger from the factory. Fun to shoot.
