Going to Houston next week, to meet the new client and such.

Drinks with me and Mullet for starters. What part of Houston? I work downtown live southwest of town.

We have a fantastic museum district, an incredible food scene...and that’s about it.

Gatlin's. The Pit Room. It's a BBQ fiesta just waiting to be explored!

Staying near the Galleria. Working not too far from there, on San Felipe. :shrug:

That’s where I worked when I first moved to Houston, the Galleria gets nutty with traffic especially around holidays. Lots of good food near by though! :yesnod:

Sure is, Sunday night we’re having dinner at 7:30 with a few forum folks actually down near my place if you land early enough. Fri-sun afternoon we’ll be at MOTO GP in Austin.

While you're there you should hit up the best BBQ place in Texas and get yourself a McRib. :cert:

Like Stang said, plenty of great food right near your hotel. Just had liver n onions at a nice Luby’s on Post Oak.

I don't think so, but the flagship in Pearland has a line out the door every single day. Personally, while it's good, I like Joe's BBQ in Alvin better. Probably a bit far for you northwest folks, though.

Overall I’m just underwhelmed with Houston’s bbq scene...hill country/Austin is where it’s at. But I haven’t actually made it into Killens BBQ yet.

County Line on 2222 in Austin is good, too, great scenery. The Houston location in NW Houston is also good, but can't quite capture the experience of the Austin location.
