It's never easy to make these decisions.
It's also hard to read of someone else's circumstances.
Makes my eyes water just replying, remembering back on my own decisions.
Truly, pets are family members too.

If his quality of life isn't there, you know it's time. It's always hard. :sadangel:

It’s not easy but you’re doing the right thing.

I’m having the Vet come to my house. I know I wouldn’t be able to drive.

That’s a good choice. When I learned of this option a few years ago, I decided I’ll be doing this from now on. Let the vet come to the house rather than go through the stress of being at the vet office.

This way, as your boy goes into his final sleep, you can sit with him in the home he’s always known and is most comfortable.

Sometimes the right decisions are the hardest and most painful.
But being with you and in his own home as he says goodbye is
as good as it gets.
Be grateful for memories and friendship you both enjoyed.

We did that with our dog. If it has to be done that's the best way to do it. :yesnod:

Let them exit from the comfort of their own home. :sadangel:

Thank you everyone. I know Corbett is no longer suffering. He’s now able to run and play again. I knew this would be hard but I didn’t expect to be this broken up.

They're part of the of family. Losing family is always hard. I still grieve for my old Rottweiler who died 20 years ago.

Sad to hear he had to go but it is comforting to know he isn't suffering any longer.
