This is my rifle
Where is my gun?
I was born with it
Now I have none

So what's the problem? Men who used to be men and now identify as women are still men... :leaving:

Giraffe (He/Him) 01-22-2021 6:18am

Gays and lesbians I get. But the whole transgender thing escapes me. It's L O N G leap from being attracted to someone of your own sex to identifying as something other than the sex you were born with.

I'll identify as a Giraffe then. I've always liked Giraffes.

So, taxpayers get to start paying for changing men into women again? Just the start of four years of bullshit.

I don’t thing transgender people get parts lopped off like transsexuals do. They just live like something other than what they were born as.

Giraffe. I’ve got the height and long neck.

I don't have a problem with this. Are you going to get tattooed up to complete the transition?

From a medical and psychological aspect, it is very complicated.
These people are born with both parts in some cases.
Born with ovaries and an XY chromosme and other possible mixed up parts, through no fault of their own, can be confusing to say the least.
So what do they do?
Have surgery to correct themselves to the right sex, or commit suicide?
I sure wouldn't want to draw that card.

People born with both sex organs are hermaphrodites.

Transsexuals view themselves as the other sex.

In times past, the military refused to take people with serious medical issues. My friend's kid has epilepsy, through no fault of his own, yet the military refused to take him because he had a medical problem.

Like Jamie Lee Curtis for example.

I thought the distinction was as follows;

Transgenders don't correspond -or live- as the sex they were born with. Like the Army guy in the story.

Transsexuals take it a step further and undergo sex reassignment surgery.

How does this relate to Jamie Lee Curtis? :confused5:

There's been a story circulating for years she's a hermaphrodite.

And, as time passes, the military will have to accept people with epilepsy (or any other significant debilitating problem) as it is those peoples right. Our society will morph into some kind of f*cked up stew!

So, in your ideal world, should hermaphrodites have the same rights as people born with the socially accepted "proper" organs?
I think we're really getting down to semantics here with definitions, but I'll use your word for conversation sake.
