Yes, they deserve nothing. None of us on this board were involved in hunting down, kidnapping, transporting and selling those people into slavery. Why should we be held accountable for something that happened 200-300 years ago? BTW, slavery was a practice that was actually acceptable and legal in that timeframe.

I don't owe any current, former, or offspring of, slaves anything.

Apparently, those BLM racist assholes have already cancelled that little tidbit of history.

Jeff?

Little Red L98. 07-13-2020 8:06pm

It worked for the Nisei but it reparations were paid directly to those wrongly incarcerated.

It's weird how you just found our little community. Out of all the websites in all the world.....

Can you tell us about Corvettes you've owned, or maybe specific models you would LIKE to own? How do you feel about C-7 tail lights?

This should be good - except the troll won’t answer.

You can count on slave reparations being paid out in future.
What's fair payment for our countries abuse to slaves?

yep and after 400 yr's, you can pay these idiots who can't figure it out...

My folks when they came over made their own life here, in the last 6 generations.

Granted there were issues into the 60's but still why can't or won't some people drive to their own success.

And that raises another point. What will be the standard for proving your ancestors were slaves? Paperwork gets rather sketchy for many black people when you go back to the civil war and before. Ask anyone who traces people's ancestry. Who will decide the rules, who will pay for the work it takes to find the ancestral facts?

Slave relatives would not be in USA, with out abuse Americans put on slaves.
America economy boomed with slave workers. Time to pay up. :yesnod:

If the alleged criminal died 250 years ago, then yes, it should be ignored. If the alleged victim died 250 years ago, yes it should be ignored.

Shit, what are you going to do? Dig up the murderer and put his skeleton in jail? Dig up the victim and give her a payment of $50,000 for her pain and suffering? :confused5::confused5::confused5:

Mine got here in 1852, but never owned slaves.

How about a free all-expenses-paid relocation back to whatever country their ancestors were originally sold by. That should set things right again.

It’s obvious this is a troll who has crawled out from under a bridge. Not going to dignify him with any further responses.

Mine got here in 1732 and never owned slaves. If I can prove my ancestors helped with the underground railroad, does that mean I get funds for my ancestors helping the slaves when they made it up North?

17 cents. Spend it wisely.

You could buy a lot with that in the 1800s.

Living in USA as slave, dog had it better.
You lived in filthy conditions and busted ass all day long.
Then go back to your filthy jail cell for the night:sadangel:

Have you ever even seen a slave cabin? I have. $2500.00/month apartments in Manhattan are SMALLER, with no fireplace.
