So what's on the menu this year?

LilRedCorvette 12-23-2020 11:52am

Steaks w/demi-glace, mashed potatoes, salad, cranberry sauce, rolls, and gingerbread cake :yum:

I’ll be taking a plate of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, cranberry chutney, mini pecan pie tarts, and peppermint cheesecake squares to a shut-in friend earlier in the day :)

Hope all enjoy some good meals this Friday! :cert:

4 bone rib roast from local butcher tomorrow, lasagne bolognese with homemade pasta tonight. Same as every year. Merry Christmas!

Before the dinner plenty of snacks included about 5 different types of chip type items and plenty of different spread to dip into. Five or so different cheeses, peanuts and hard candy!

For dinner best bet some ham and roast beef with all the usual things that go with those meals. Deserts' all sort's of cookies, cakes, ice-creams.

It will be at my DIL mothers house, she loves to cook and set up things like this. The problem is there will be nine people and she has enough stuff to take care of 30 people easy!

Smoked turkey breast, honey glazed ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied yams, cornbread dressing, green beans, black and green olives and mini sweet pickles. Choice of pumpkin pie or apple pie with ice cream for dessert.

Beer, wine and/or alcohol beverages will flow. Especially while I'm smoking the turkey breast.
