Bring on the July mod party!!
I think we're ready to go!!!
Thank god for air conditioning! Worked all weekend in the garage, moving, cleaning, and setting up for the July mod party. If you're not on the list and want to come by, check it out HERE Having three dental implants done on Wednesday, camping Fri, Sat, and Sun. Then 4 days at work to recharge! http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...6-27-10001.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...6-27-10004.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...6-27-10002.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...6-27-10003.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...6-27-10006.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...6-27-10005.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...6-27-10010.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...6-27-10007.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...6-27-10009.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...6-27-10008.jpg |
I am so jealous of that garage..
|
Dang, I could live in there! Even has a Jeff Gordon floor mat in front of the fridge! :rep:
:squirrelrun: |
What a garage.... I wish I had that kind of space for the race car build... sure beats my basic 2 car.
|
New lift looks good, did you remember to tell Orin to ups you the cover for the 93 Z?

:willy: Are we gonna get any work done? :willy:
I don't think my house is that big, holy snikes...:o_o: |
I may have an issue with may header install. I thought I could use a 3" band clamp from the Cat to my exhaust system but the more I look at it I thinking it may need to be welded in. :toetap: Me not being a welder anybody coming to the Mod party with a welder and the welding skills? Jeff is there an exhaust shop near by who could weld the Cat?
|
I weld, but working at a shop full of welding equipment, I never had the need to own any. I'll see if I can find something small enough to bring home. If not, most rental places have 110 volt units that will work just fine.
Anyone else have one sitting around that they could bring? |
Jeff... will there be any way to jack the motor over to the side a little with the car up on a lift? On a C5 you have to unbolt the motor mounts from the cradle (from the bottom) and tilt the motor sideways to get the headers to slip in. Its easy to do with a floor jack when doing the install on jackstands, but on a lift that wouldn't work. Do you have anything that would work for that? I guess you could always just lower the lift down enough to where a floor jack and a couple of blocks of wood would reach the oil pan to achieve the same result.... Just trying to think ahead.

Having seen Jeff use a Zippo BBQ lighter I may have to go to the main house for something when he fires up the welder!!!:stop: |
