03SlowZ06, hope you don't mind I moved your thread here, it was more appropriate for the VA folks.

I know this is a new "region" section that CF didn't have. :D

03SlowZ06 10-09-2009 11:04pm

You are good. I did not notice the mid Altantic break down had VA.

YorkL8apex 10-10-2009 7:16am

I'm the slow C4 out there trying to keep up with all the shiny new C5's and C6's:toetap: I'll try not hold you up if we cruise together

Munch 10-10-2009 7:27am

Funny, that doesn't look like one of the slow ones. :polis:

Here's me but you would probably have to be out in a cotton field to see me seen as how I don't go in to the city much.

ZR-1 slow, you are to funny Tony. What else are you going to tell us, that your exhaust is quite? :lmfao:

Shrek 10-10-2009 9:51am

Also have a couple of slow Z's here, and we'll drive them to work in VB once in awhile.

Vet4jdc 10-11-2009 7:14am

O.K., I'm gonna get out this morning and take a pic of my "slow" base coupe since all of my shots are before the new wheels! Be back in a little while. Oh yea...it's slow so I'll be back in a long time!

:Corvette:

Vet4jdc 10-11-2009 1:06pm

Nice Jimmy, does it have a new 9mm in the console after the gunshow?:above:

Now you need to get a pic of Wrigley and put it on the Off Topic Pet Thread.

Plate reads SNFNIA

It says Sinfonia, NOT Sniffinya.

And Tony, I don't keep a 9mm in there...I keep a .40 cal. :bilmem:

I'd like a red one like the one I had. The one I had was one of the original batch I think....*sniff*

Speaking of Steve, did anyone invite him over here??

Nice ride, this must be the Z06 Ed has been working on for the past few months. I was going to hold out for the KB, but I didn't think they would be coming out with one anytime soon for the C6.

OBXFunn 10-17-2009 1:04pm

Yep, Ed built a 403 for me and did a few other things to the car. It will back at VA Speed next week for some final tweaks and a final tune to follow soon after. I believe KB has a kit for the C6 now but not 100% sure. The torque the KB makes is crazy and the HP isn't bad either, =)

tomurphjr 10-17-2009 1:06pm

You guys are too funny!

I always seem to be the butt end of jokes. :fingertap:

I think they have one for LS2 but not the LS3. What kind of numbers did you get with the KB? I got 570RWHP/545RWTQ with the TVS 1900 with room to grow.

Sorry Tom, all you have to do is stop going to weddings every week and stop posting pictures with MJ.

OBXFunn 10-17-2009 1:23pm

Well right now, with a TB and inlet issue, the car put down 710rwhp (at 5400rpm)/780rwtq. I have a 107mm TB and larger inlet on order so once they are installed and a final tune is done, I hope to be in the 775rwhp range.

Right now we are pulling 8" of vacuum right at the TB so its a major restriction.

Incredible, must be hard to keep traction under 100MPH. Let us know what kind of results you get.

OBXFunn 10-17-2009 1:42pm

I have only had it back for about 10 days now so I am just putting miles on the car and breaking it in. Heck, I haven't even had it on the interstate yet and might have hit 65 once, haha.

I just want to make sure everything is perfect before really getting out it.

10 days, I don't blame you, take your time to break it in right or it will be back with Ed again. With the power you have, are you using DR's for street tires?

OBXFunn 10-17-2009 2:17pm

I am running Nitto 555's but if I feel like taking a cruise to "play" I run my CCW drag pack on the street, =)

I went with the Michelin PS2, 345's on the rear and have to warm the tires when temps are below 70 to get any traction. Next year I need to get something for track and fun, I am thinking MT right now.

OBXFunn 10-17-2009 4:46pm

If you ever want to borrow my drag pack for the track just ask. I don't have a problem loaning them out to friends.

I appreciate the offer, I am afraid they are to sticky for my drive train, I am afraid something expensive will break.

I am hoping I can wait until next year to upgrade my A6 and diff to handle the extra HP. I have a used set of MT Street DR in my garage, I will try them next time on the track.

Are you going to the track next year?

OBXFunn 10-17-2009 6:21pm

Yeah, I will track the car at some point. Since the car has been down for months I am enjoying driving it right now. I don't want to take it to the track anytime soon and break something. The last thing I want is for the car to be in the shop again.

thegreenman 10-17-2009 6:35pm

I don't blame you, enjoy it for the winter then get down to business next spring.

Steve is putting a track rental together Nov 13th at Richmond Dragway. I am having a knock issue but hope to install a meth kit this week to take care of it. A couple of other issues I need to take care of but haven't had time to fix yet. If the meth takes care of the knock I might hit the track next month to see how it does.

OBXFunn 10-17-2009 7:15pm

I actually thought about going and just babying it down the track just to have some fun. But knowing me, I wont be happy doing that and I will try to post a good time. That will lead to me breaking something I'm sure. I may just go as a spectator to support everyone and take some pictures.

I told Steve about my concern of breaking something at the track and he told me I could take it easy on takeoff. I don't think I can hold back, but I might. I really would like to go and take it down the track a few times.
