Chicago Police: New "foot pursuit" policy means fewer foot pursuits

Chicago PD revised their foot pursuit policy.

Now...officers are NOT allowed to pursue suspects from traffic stops for minor violations.

Thoughts on what will happen?

I say Chicago becomes more dangerous than Mogadishu in about a month.

Good luck people living there.

I could never live there.

Just ask people if they consent to being detained or arrested, and if they say no, just let them go. Easy peasy. I don't know why anyone hasn't thought of this before.

They got the government they voted for. I hope they enjoy the crime.

A lot of good food there. Including Abe Froman's Sausages, he's the king.

Of course not! They're liberals, they enjoy watching black people get killed!

During the 1968 riots in Chicago. A good Democratic Mayor.

"Mayor Richard J. Daley gave police the authority "to shoot to kill any arsonist or anyone with a Molotov cocktail in his hand ... and ... to shoot to maim or cripple anyone looting any stores in our city."

The Chicago Police also had some great weapons. They owned two Stoner 63 which cost $5000-$8000 apiece at the time. The weapon had a 150-round drum belt container

" The Stoner 63 saw very limited combat use by United States forces during the Vietnam War. A few were also sold to law enforcement agencies."

The famous Texas Ranger of the 1920 and 1930's, Frank Hamer , said that nothing stops a riot better than a .45 in the gut. :shots:
