Waves in the street, but not fully flooded just yet. Expecting that to come in the next few hours.

Look, when you live in the country's dick, you should expect to get hosed.

Hope the Vettes are on stilts

What good is power to your office without Internet?

As long as comcast is still functional, I have internet in the house too. I also have my unlimited 4G hotspot with Verizon. I should be good for a few days at least.

ComCrap will be gone soon (surprised it's not already). VZW will last as long as their batteries. :D

Only gonna get WAY worse over the next 5-6 hours. Will continue to post as long as comcast holds out.

There's easier ways to do that. Disconnect your main panel from the street then back-feed into it.

Even easier: move to 4900 feet of elevation and watch it on TV. :seasix:

Your Chebbie dudes get all of their stock out of town?

Datawiz 09-28-2022 1:07pm

Out the back. House next door is my crippled brother-in-law. Guess that's a palm I'll be cutting up this weekend...

Glad you're alright man! Marcus is holding up as well but power is probably out.

I rolled out Tuesday at 3am and then they announce evacuation for the Cape just afterward.

Been watching my pool cam until the power bonked (I'm guessing)
Sustained 85 mph winds currently....

Neighbors roof, a block away, just blew off an hour ago.

Cape Coral has to be getting effing slammed right now, and we're only gonna get worse for the next 6 hours. Regardless, fricking LOVE having command central fully operational.

Any concerns about water rising up into the house? What are your plans for that, if needed?

Not as good as the white caps and waves in my 80' wide canal during Wilma in 2005, I was going to breakout the surfboard but the family took a vote and decided they needed my income intact.

Every 30 minutes during the storm I went outside to clear the two storm drains on my street, I saved all of those ungrateful fawkers, still waiting on my repayment.

So far the water level is WELL below Irma. While streets are flooded, and have massive waves, the lake level is far from Irma, when we had a football-field-sized spillover into the drainage ditch. Water is now about 4 feet up my driveway from the street. During Irma, it was 30+ feet up the driveway.
