Removing Catback
Any opinions on the plausibility of removing and reinstalling a Ti catback without a lift?
And just for conversations sake... I live near VA Beach home to one of the largest naval ports in the world and I can't find anyone who can weld titanium to do the bypass mod to my exhaust. I move to the top of Michigan surrounded by orchards and vineyards and some Yoda-esque welding Jedi master has a shop down the road, no problem he says. I may call him GB jr. :leaving: |
Long as you can get the rear high enough, you'll have no problems Munch. Lots of people have done cat backs in the driveway.

to remove the TI system w/o cutting it, the back needs to be 36" off the ground so you can remove it in one piece:) http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c5/30s...nstall_pic.jpg |
I think I'd rather have a lift but if that isn't possible then I might give the jack stand method a try.
I might get them coated black while they're out like the cool people do. That would be the last bright piece on the car aside from my exhaust plate which could be remedied easily. :seasix: |
