Who has "lightly" tinted LED tail lights?

I've got really dark tail light covers on the car now. I've gotten one warning - no big deal. I'm more concerned about the people behind me blaming my covers as a reason they piled into the back of me and insurance not covering it if it were to ever happen.

So, I'm thinking light tinted lights that will still show a little red reflection. LED, Hallo, etc.

Who's got them?

Munch 10-24-2009 8:52am

I have the black cherry halos. They look black but are dark red when the sun hits them and there is no mistaking when the brakes are applied. I had tinted stock tails but a couple cars looked like they almost rear ended me during the day so I got the ones I have now.

Thanks. Where did yo get them?

MYSCZ06 10-24-2009 9:10am

this is where you can get the ones he has..

Corvette Enhancements

I got mine from JWMotosports stg 2 IIRC havent seen them in person but have pics of them. I dont htink I will have an issue since I have the LED/halo mod. The price difference between the link provided and having JW hook you up is nearly a 1k doing all lights...even the tails he saves you some cash..

Yup, I got em from Richard at Corvette Enhancements. He is cool to do business with, very helpful. I must have emailed him 5 times before I made up my mind and he always got back to me right away.

according to GB Vette you can make you own tint.
He mention mixing 1 part black with 6 parts clear. Then just spray away.
That's what Gary did

What up Ray? That's what I used on mine all around the car (tail, reverse, front and rear side marker lights), three light coats, followed by two coats of clear, I'm satisfied with the outcome, not too dark of a tint, and plenty illumination comes through, :yesnod:

Cool! So these have LED's, halo's, and the #2 tint level?

[email protected] 11-08-2009 12:22am

Yep. It's more of a stage 1.5. Not quite as dark as what NorcalVette posted. I read your post and what you wanted and felt this was best for you.
