friend/ former coworker died in his sleep
My friend and all around cool guy Mark passed in his sleep wednesday :sadangel:
Mark was 59 and this was a complete shock. Completely unexpected. He had a natural ability to get along with just about everyone and could tell a good story. He played drums and guitar plus was an excellent photographer. He was part of the music scene in NYC in the 70s and 80s and had some good stories to go with it. Here's his obit http://www.suessfuneralhome.net/mems...ser_id=2092287 I will miss you my friend  |
It always sucks to lose good friends.
Raise a glass to him when you can. :cert: |
Sorry to hear man.:sadangel:

Sorry to hear this.....:sadangel:
Way too young.... |
Mark was good for recalling stories from his past. When he was in NYC in the 70s and 80s, his day job was as a Graphics Designer. On the same floor as his employer was the business office Jimmy Dean ( yes, the singer / sausage guy ). Since there was one bathroom for the floor, he often ran into Jimmy Dean and made small talk.
Mark said he was pretty cool guy. Mark was at some music venue in NYC and thought himself fortunate to get a table for himself and friend about 7 tables from the stage. Jimmy Dean came in and got the table right next to the stage. he ordered drinks before the show and as he was looking around the crowd, spotted Mark and yell " MARK, come on up here" pointing to his table. Mark pointed to his friend and Jimmy held up two fingers and waved them to his table :cool1: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mark got transferred to another office in NYC to finish up a project ( designing cardboard displays for use at trade shows ). This required a lot of straight edge cutting of cardboard panels for fitting. One of the other guys was that guy who always works too fast with stuff flying around. There are on the third floor with the windows open. Their work desks are slanted drafting tables. Mr "fumble fingers" puts his 4' long thin metal straight edge on the slant and it "zips" right out the window. They both jump up, look out the window and watch it pierce the convertible soft top of a Karmann Ghia parked on the street. Mr fumble fingers runs down the stairs, grabs his straight edge out of the top and runs back up. |
sorry :sadangel:

Sorry for your loss Jeff. I lost one of my best friends a couple of weeks ago. It's hard knowing that he isn't a call or text away.
