Well not quite. Race was "scheduled" to green flag at 2:30. It didn't start raining until 3:30. The hour wasted could have been spent racing instead of whatever the **** we actually saw.

Good to see the POTUS there and he did a pace lap :cool1:

Kinda chicken shit go round there, should have been doing ~150 mph anyway, up on the high bank, then bring it down and do it in reverse, like the video of the SSvc drivers at an SCCA track, many years ago saw many wrecked/clapped out SSvc training cars along side of the Summit Point race track......they can DO IT!!!!

If I wuz prez, I'd a requested they do it.....I"d settle for 150 mph going forward though plus a few evasive maneuvers on the flat portions......

Denny Hamlin emerged victorious at the Daytona 500 on Monday night, winning the iconic NASCAR race for a third time, but it was overshadowed by a string of dramatic crashes -- including a fiery wreck that sent Ryan Newman to the hospital.

Newman flipped several times; his car ultimately crossed the finish line engulfed in flames.

His current condition was unknown.
