Brutal. I mean it's fine, if that was all you had... but add fries and a drink and you're nearing 1500 calories for one "meal"... and I bet you was hungry again in an hour.

I'm on 1800cal A DAY. Just ridiculous the shit that passes for food these days.

OldSarge 10-03-2016 7:19pm

Looks pretty tasty to me.

Looks like the fries are already on the sandwich. And of course, people will order a diet Coke with that.

how many calories in a bacon double Whopper w/cheese? that is what I typically have for lunch. When I get a "big" sandwich like this, I do not get fries though.

This Arbys Pork Belly Sandwich is absolutely scrumptious, has onion strings (not fries), cheese, BBQ sauce, and mayo.
It's like super thick bacon that is smokehouse cooked; "fork cutting" texture; very easy to eat.

I plan on having one almost everyday for lunch; it's a limited time offering.

 Do they serve those with a defibrillator?

Pork belly is where bacon comes from.....so it's basically really thick cut fatty bacon meat done on the grill. Must be a lot of flames coming up from that cooking. :ack:

Agreed, if reality looks anything like the picture, that would be a great sandwich!

Olustee bus 10-04-2016 2:55am

Those are not potato fries. They are onion strings. thus, the two grams of dietary fiber. Gonna have one next week. about monday. Cant eat again for several days but damn, gonna be good.

According to one website, it's 1105 calories. So you may drop a few pounds switching to the pork belly deal. Win win.

Thanks for the post, I had forgotten I wanted to give it a try. :seasix:

Went there for lunch today and ordered it - pretty darn tasty!
I will say I like the brisket better, and their buffalo sammich is really good as well.

I asked people to check in on me periodically, to make sure my heart's still ticking. :D

Nah, you don't cook pork belly over direct flame. You smoke it/slow cook it. Render it down. Then, if you want, you can give it a quick fry. It would be pretty awesome to have it slow cooked/smoked and then dunked in the deep fryer for 60 seconds. I mean, you already went this far...

NeedSpeed 10-10-2016 6:26pm

Ok, I tried one. I must agree, pretty damn good.

I came out of fast food retirement to try this one :leaving:
