California has banned BATH TOWELS!

My wife got a gift card from QVC from one of her clients, so she just gave it to me and said get something for the house. I figured we could use some new bath towels.

So I attempted to order QVC Item #H214656 - Wamsutta 6- Piece 100% PimaCott Towel Set - In the Burgundy and Navy Colors

So, apparently they won't ship these towels because of Prop 65.

First they come for your guns

Then your ammo...

Now they are coming for your hygiene!

HAHAHA this State is so ****ing STUPID! :funnier:

That's because they are more concerned with changing the name of manhole covers.

Proposition 65 was passed by the voters in 1986. It does not ban bath towels. Sounds like the particular bath towels you were trying to order were manufactured with something on the list of hazardous chemicals that were banned. I can assure you that you can find bath towels at any store that sells towels.

Psst, I know a guy, he can get you any towel you want. For a price.

I'm going to go into business bootlegging towels in California. I'll just hide the towels under the packages of meth and smuggle them in.

The Nanny State.

More insanity; the city of L-A has just funded $460M for the homeless. I have five dollars saying the money is going to someone with city gov and/or connected to city gov who will pocket the money while the homeless will get about two dollars. Yet in a year or two, a new initiative to help the homeless will pop up. Rinse, repeat. Free money.

I think I should start a foundation, and aim for 99% overhead. :yesnod:

Probably some cheap ass pieces of shit made in China using toxic chemicals. Prop 65 probably saved the OP from Horrible Ass Cancer; he should show a little appreciation. :toetap:

Or is it more likely that the company making those towels doesn't want to do the additional costly step of getting their products "California certified", ie paying a bribe to some outfit that will do the necessary paperwork and whatever else that entails because they honestly think it's so incredibly stupid and pointless that they are drawing the line?

Maybe your foundation could be one that saves people from living in that shithole in the first place?

Just a thought.

Are there any non-liberals still in that shithole who need saving? :bigears:

rather like the gun roster. not all makers want to go to the hassle and expense to get every gun they make onto that stupid roster, so your choices in CA are limited.

Nope.

If they are stupid enough to live there then they aren't worth saving.
