2 pounds of Filet Mignon as the meat in hamburger helper with mushrooms, and fresh steamed green beans. :sneaks:

Bought 7 pounds over the weekend, had steaks Sunday night, and will have the rest Thursday night, but we LOVE a nice helper with the tail end of the Filet, which doesn't make good cuts of meat.

That is certainly smaller than the 50 oz filet you had at the Cruise In. :yesnod:

Ground with a bit of tallow as a burger perhaps. Steak tips in a rich gravy. Even diced fine in a hash.

Hamburger Helper? Wow.

we do same thing with left over steaks but make Stroganoff.

McCormick pack of Stroganoff spices (follow directions), water, shrooms, sour cream, egg noodles and steak - addictive :yesnod:

PS - also can add some Ketchup or Fiddy Seven :seasix:

Brown steak tips in butter, and onion and mushrooms...cook until onions are soft...add can of progressive cream of mushroom soup, 1 can milk...salt and pepper. Simmer 45 minutes. Stir in sour cream. Serve over noodles.

My version of fillet mignon.

Bacon wrapped battered in corn flake crumbs and deep fried.

A key ingredient in any Plate or Kettle of Waste...

Protein byproducts never come out better than with the Helping Hand of dry goods in a box :kimblair: from Betty Crocker

My Mom used to do that. I make "filet cheesesteaks" with the trimmings of a whole filet.

If I have any med rare rib eyes left over the next day I make steak salad. Just a regular salad with the ribeye cut into thin strips and chilled. Cover in blue cheese dressing.

Filet Mignon and Hamburger helper should NEVER be used in the same sentence.

Unless you are making fun of it. :leaving:
