Waste Oil

Anyone have an idea on how to dispose off waste oil?
I have a 55 gallon drum almost full and both places that used to take it don't burn it anymore

Short of putting in 5 gal containers and distributing between parts stores...
Could throw an ad up see if anyone heats with it might take it.

Check with your county recycle center. All around here take oil.

If you have any semi dealerships in your area, see who they use for fluid recycling and give them a call. :cert:

Dump it on the railroad tracks late at night.

When I was a kid my older brother changed his oil in his
Impala and dumped it under an evergreen tree. Thing was dead in a week :willy:

A lot of old gas stations use old oil to burn to heat their place....make a few calls

Around here, Advanced Auto Parts will take it.

That’s what I did when I had to clean out my father in law’s barns. He had no less than 100 gal, each time I went there I took 5 gals to each parts store. Kind of a pain, but it took months to clean the place out anyway

Lookie here..Where exactly does oil come from? Yep, the ground. So...why not find a nice spot in your yard and kick that sucker over, and put it back where it came from? Of course it might not be good for your grass or ground water..:D
