(Bloomberg) -- If the Biden Administration decides to tap U.S. emergency crude reserves to push down domestic energy prices, it may not help all that much. The supplies may just be exported away like last month.

About 1.6 million barrels of crude from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve -- a monthly record -- was shipped out in October, according to data from market intelligence firm Kpler. Three cargoes were loaded onto a supertanker in the U.S. Gulf Coast and are headed to Asia.

“Given the ongoing pace of the current SPR release -- 12 million barrels in the last two months and the biggest weekly release so far last week at 3.1 million barrels -- it’s fair to assume more SPR barrels are going to leave U.S. shores in the weeks ahead,” said Matt Smith, an oil analyst at Kpler.

The White House has been mulling a range of options to ease soaring pump prices and Democrats are pressing for a potential ban on oil exports as well as the release of crude from the nation’s strategic reserves.

Obama's Moratorium:
Lots of people lost their jobs.
Local commerce dwindled to nothing.
Bankruptcy, repossessions, foreclosures were direct results of the oilfield shutdowns.
Energy costs nationwide increased because Natural Gas is derived from same oil fields.
Local oil patch services and vendors closed.
Some people had to resort to drinking Natural Light.

They are going to push us to electric cars at any cost. Perhaps a mandate is in order.

This is all to force you Luddites to buy electric cars. :D

Oil prices is a concern. In reality, there are many things to really be concerned about.

Can they remove the apparent law that says electric cars have to be ugly? That would be nice.

Make a Tesla that looks like a Lamborghini/GT40/Ferarri, and see what happens.

Why does a Prius have to look like a shitbox?

Let's see, open up the pipelines, complete Keystone, open up and encourage drilling. Yeah, that was real fricking hard to come up with. Tar & feather the lot of them and send them packing!

Biden ran on doing just what he did, and these results are just what was intended. We're going to save the planet by consuming less energy in the West, while China, India, Russia, and the 3rd World use MORE energy. And in order to get Americans to use less energy, you've got to price them out of the energy market, and start forcing them to decide between not freezing to death, and eating.

Everything is going pretty well so far, as people in the US consume less.

This is equity, inclusion, and diversity.....lowering America's standard of living down closer to the standard of living in the 3rd World.

Instead of a rising US lifting all boats, we're watching a declining US, which is what the regime wants.....all we have to do is sink faster than the rest of the world, and it's a win.
