I'm on the West Coast. I leave for Lincoln, NE on Sunday anyways, so my parties will be from the heartland. :yesnod:

G and I off to concur the racing world on Sunday. :hurray:

Latest track has it passing just north of us. No big deal. Cat 3 at best.

Fort Myers

This will be our first time here for a hurricane. Last one that hit the island was Irma (cat 3) in 2017. We owned the house but we
were not living in it. No significant damage but power was out for almost a week. We have a whole house generator but stupid me did not check the fuel level in the underground tank until this morning. Looks like half full (300 gallon tank). Not sure how long that will last. Called the gas company this morning and the said up to six days for a delivery at this point :ulan:

I thought you meant you were on the west coast of the USA on a business trip or something.

Beer, Bourbon, vodka and plenty of food in the house. Will start putting the shutters up tomorrow.

I was supposed to play golf Monday. I guess that out.

We are halfway between West palm beach and Melbourne.

I'll worry about this weekend when it's not 1000 miles away. For now it's just media fear mongering

99 pewtercoupe 08-28-2019 7:38pm

That'll change at least 3 times a day until it actually makes land fall somewhere on the east coast of the US
