I refuse to "celebrate" black history month. Already been told once at Arbys to get in the back of the line because I'm white and it's BHM so they should be able to go first. **** this shit.

I demand equality. I want White History month. Where is my Polish history month?

just over a year ago, my cousin Jessika visited us for a few days.

her mom and my mom are sisters. her dad is black. so she's what we could call black (half and half, but society goes with black).

one evening, as we're making dinner and talking, she's going on about how tough parts of her life have been because she's black.

so i ask her, did you pick your mom and dad? because I didn't. I just showed up one day, they spanked me (violence after 2 minutes, tough world), and i've done the best I could with what was presented to me. same for her.

i pointed out that she had a mom and dad who remained married, she lived in a nice middle class suburb of LA, got to go to whatever college she wanted and study whatever she pleased. pretty privileged by most standards.

so stop complaining and go do something fantastic.

We had a couple Mickey Ds located close to the bad part of the city on main thoroughfares. You could easily tell the difference by the help there. Especially by the black female workers. You were a white male you were treated like shit, you were a white female they were just a little nicer. Now if you were black weather they knew you or not they were very friendly and cordial.

Seen this act many time as I was working in the area. Then I figured if they acted like that how safe is the food they handled. Found other places to go or brown bagged.
