Let's assume it was optioned out to a list price of $100K. He paid $3M so he gets a charitable tax deduction of $2.9M ( provided his accountant has all the ducks in a row ) |

He’s recovering nicely. Intestinal obstruction that ended up with a bowel resection. He’s a retired GM engineer. He’s a big car guy. The first car I have a memory of when I was a kid was his 69 Chevelle SS coupe. He sold it when I was about 10, so that would’ve been ‘84. That’s the one car he says he wished he would’ve hung onto. He used to drag race with it. The first time my mom drove it (shortly after they were married) he told her to push on the gas peddle very gently. Like she was stepping on an egg without cracking it. He got the, “I’m not dumb. I know how to drive a car...!!!” shortly followed by unintentional doughnuts in the parking lot. The way my dad tells the story...that was a quiet ride home. :leaving: |
Did anyone catch why the McLaren Senna that was sold after the C8 went for $850k? that's basically MSRP.

Is it a prearranged bid? What if someone else decided they wanted to outbid him?
