A5 was easily the best, then the Kiwami, then the SR. However, they were all fantastic.

Are you sure? Have you ever had ranch raised Angus from South Dakota?

Cybercowboy 12-22-2018 5:20pm

I'm going to sous vide a ribeye tonight. The specifications are...Aldi, type normal. Top left on the shelf, near the sirloin.

Have you ever had Bison Filet? If not, I highly recommend it. I like Bison over beef all day long. And I LOVE beef.

I've had Bison Burgers before, but never an actual 'real' cut of meat from a Buffalo. I'd like to try that. :yesnod:

Here is a weird one. Ostrich. I've had an Ostrich Burger and it was actually really damn good. :yesnod:

BTW, that steak looks delicious BTW! :seasix:

I have had that also. There is a place in Houston called Sammy's Wild Game. I've had ostrich, water buffalo, elk, venison, kangaroo, antelope, and elk. The only one I haven't had so far is camel.

I used to get the steaks at Trader Joe’s years ago. Not sure if they still carry them. They’re very lean, so you can’t cook them above medium rare at most.

I had bison for the first time in Sedona, AZ. Probably 15+ years ago. At a place called the Cowboy Club. Had rattlesnake there for the first time, as well. I recommend them for anyone visiting Sedona.

There are a lot of people here that don’t understand Waygu. Bison is really lean. Waygu is really fatty- but in a good way. .

Waygu beef is like Sushi grade tuna. You can eat it raw as it is premium grade. Waygu requires no additions. It will be the best beef you will have ever eaten. American Waygu is good. Japanese Waygu is on another level.
