You have been very, very busy lately, Doug. Is the well not deep enough?

well is 200' deep, plenty deep. was producing lots more water last fall/winter, but i think with the ongoing draught, it is taking longer for the remaining ground water to seep into the well casing and let the well pump re-pressurize the system.

pray for rain.... June-Sept is supposed to be the rainy season... :toetap:

Here's a couple of pics of the things that have been keeping us busy lately.

We stained the deck Monday in near 100* temps. :willy: We could only stain the main deck, though. The extension hasn't been drying quite long enough. We started on this last fall and it was a project that just seem to get bigger as we went along. We ended up replacing more of the deck than we had originally planned. It's a slow process when it's primarily only the two of us working on it.

The blocks under the deck are for some landscaping projects I have planned. This is what I have been working on when not working on the deck.

When I took the pic, the blocks aren't leveled out. Using some chat, I have about half of them level now. When finished they will be two high and I'll plant hostas and add some red mulch.

Hiya Sista Laurie! :seeya:

How are you tonight?

I'm kinda tired. We mowed tonight. At least the front anyway. I mowed the backyard last night. We'll get the very back and around the pond next week.

That's not good! I hope you guys start getting some rain soon. It's a shame there isn't a way to pipe the excess water in the North to the South. That wouldn't necessarily solve your well problem, though. :(

We're supposed to start getting storms again possibly tomorrow afternoon/evening. I hope everything has cleared out up your way. These storms are getting really old.

Very true. It's so dry now that we had to water the garden last night. The vegetation was looking a tad bit parched. According to weather.com, most of the next 10 days have a chance of storms.

I know we are getting storms over the weekend, but Sunday should be nice for my trip to Voorhees, NJ.

Whatcha doin' in Voorhees?

It's supposed to be nice Sunday here, too. That means deck construction and hopefully I can get the landscaping around that damn tree finished.
